A mother actually said that. Although it is not verbatim. Her teenage son admitted he and four (4) other teens PLANNED on intercepting another playmate and robbing him. One of the teens shot & killed the target.

This is what happens any time you tell a particular group they are immune to serious punishment. For decades America has sheltered children, because they DID not know the NATURE OF WHAT THEY DID. But, times have changed and the youngest among us know more than our Grand-fathers did. THEY KNOW they can commit murder and get away with it. . . IF they can convince social workers that they were ignorant of the crime.

When the punishment for murderous assault is the same juvenile cottage as for spitting on the sidewalk, WHY should a teen honor the sanctity of life?

Add to that the bombardment of murder in hours of malicious video games and a teen goes ahunting. For more thrills throw in a few hits on the drug-de-jour, then mix in some Booze, a gang of like types and someone's child gets a premature burial.

There is only ONE WAY to slow down teenage crime. Make the punishment fit the crime! Just because a kid is as ignorant as a goat should NOT give it a license to kill. Whenever teens contemplate a serious crime they should ALSO be forced to consider a permenant home in jail. This may NOT deter adult criminals, but teens should not be so hardened at their age. UNLESS . . . they have already lost respect for Law & Order by ineffective prior punishment!

The Adults of kiddy criminals.

Every child has both a father & a Mother. Sometimes even in the same home.

State Governments have no trouble tagging wayward welfare dads and docking even Disability SS Checks, so lets find the parents of malicious kiddies and let them BOTH share their kid's cell on weekends, even if the state HAS to PAY for childcare while Pops get to know his kid.

As the body filled tiny caskets pile up WE have to do something. Ciddy Crime Cases are skyrocketing! Our law makers are to scared of the bleeding hearts polictical punch to even start the debate of the need to act. BUT, kiddy crime is invading the 'better[?]' neighborhoods and the bleeding heart ciddies are entering the fray, usually as the victim.
